Pierwsza – sukienka zaprojektowana przez Verę Wang. Prawie dokładnie to, o co mi chodzi!! Dół skromny, zwiewny, bez świecącej satyny i atłasu.
The wedding dress of my dreams. Part 1.
So what should I start with?? Of course the dress!! Sitting very very comfortably in front of my laptop I started looking for a wedding dress, more specifically I was looking for “the one”! On a side note, I worked as a stylist for a number of years and I owned some wedding dresses so I knew what I was looking for and what I wanted.
At one point in my searching they all started to look the same and I started thinking that I would never fine one. After loooong hours of searching I found 3 that I could live with, but just wasn’t 100% happy.
The first was a Vera Wang creation. Almost exactly what I wanted. The bottom was simple flowy without sparkly satin, but it had its flaws. I found a picture on the internet, but I couldn’t find it for sale anywhere. (and if I did find it, it would be way out of my price range) And the top of the dress didn’t really sit well with me. Would have to find a good seamstress to do something with it.
The second I found on some forum, later found it on eBay. The dress is just about to the ankles and it a little bit retro. Again almost perfect, because for a very very long time I wanted to go in a shorter then usual wedding dress. I could not find a picture of it from the front to see how it flows. I also wondered how I’m going to feel in it. I would have to have something underneath, maybe some tulle netting. But I never wanted a puffy dress.
The third was gorgeous lacy and also on ebay, but it was “out” pretty quick. It happened to be to fancy for our modest wedding and reception. Also I was cut way to low in the front and the back. And the though of wearing something on top like a sweater or a jacket turned me off.
I finally found the one… but that’s in the next part
